I finished my reread of Episode II with commentary, took me a while to get to it!

There were some notes about beep translations in there; I should take them to our spreadsheet at some point.

Dookû's son

And also confirmation (finally) that Tarkin was Dooku's son. Presumably I was correct in my assumption in the past that this was never explicitly confirmed because it was more of an easter egg than a plot point.

Seems that way! Though I wonder, at some points we had allusions to maybe Anakin being his son too. I remember I made a post about it.
Maybe Episode III extras will clarify that point.

The Peace Moon

Chancellor Palpatine has used the time and his new power to advance his plans to bring peace to the Galaxy. He is planning to construct a mobile peacekeeping platform (i.e. a giant superweapon). He knows the Senate will never approve such a thing, so he has disguised it as a project to rebuild the moon of Naboo.

I think I was never clear on that before today. I had the idea that Palpatine was basically just a good ineffectual guy, completely manipulated by Anakin.
But if he planned to build the superweapon, to bring peace, then he's a bit more complex than that.

Hovercraft full of eels

Another reference to Monty Python’s “Dirty Hungarian Phrasebook” sketch. The GM tries to make sounds similar to Pete’s droid beep language, but comes up with something that makes no sense. It just happens to be interpretable as this iconic phrase, as Pete points out.

A long time ago, after this bit was translated, I posted the idea that the GM was actually using a phrasebook constructed by Pete as a prank, and not just making random noises.
I mean, the idea that those random beeps just so happen to be consistent with previous beeps, and form the phrase "hovercraft full of eels" was too farfetched.
So I conlcuded that the GM had asked Pete for a phrasebook, and he had written a wrong one as a joke, replicating the Python sketch.
This could be deduced by the readers by translating the beeps and finding out they actually match.

When I posted this, nobody really agreed with my take.
And the bonus material doesn't confirm any of this, so I guess it wasn't intended after all, haha.
I still think it's a fun way to interpret the situation.
