Episode 2533: The Fissure Queen
A few weeks ago, I was given 75257 Millennium Falcon, which I've been simultaneously building and 3D modeling with POV-Ray, so I'm finding some amusing synchronicity in the Falcon's appearance in the comic.
The ventral turret is really annoying. The set as a whole is both fairly hefty and not very sturdy — most of the sides and top are just clipped on, and the bits that stick out in front are secured only by a couple of pins at the inside corners — so basically the only safe places to pick it up are the round bits on the sides and the frame underneath. Which means that when I'm handling it, I'm constantly bumping that ventral turret, and it's extremely fragile — the guns fall off at the lightest contact. For most of the build, I'd actually taken them off and stashed them in the hold so I wouldn't lose them in the chair or something. Should've just scraped the turret off on a canyon wall.
