Garfield and Friends was my all-time favorite show from my childhood.
I always loved seeing the opening gags that Garfield says at the end of the two theme songs (Friends are There from season one through two, and We're Ready to Party from seasons three to seven) and I actually see them as great and comical gags, even the ones that feature Heathcliff! I remember my first time watching the cartoon, where it all started at "Nothing to Sneeze At". Garfield sure had a sneezing fit in that one episode. I figured it was Jon's sport coat that made him sneeze. That episode was loosely based on the July 14th, 1986-July 19th, 1986 comics where Jon's cologne was Garfield's allergy.
Anyways, after noticing all 93 panels being put together to make this, I discovered that shiningpikablu252 might've had a lot of fun writing opening gags that Garfield did back in the opening gags and commercial bumpers.
It's a shame that Garfield and Friends ended after its last episode called "The Ocean Blue", but hey, it sure was a great way to end the series with a musical song.
I also adore those commercial bumpers that Garfield wanted to do whenever a brief commercial break begins. It kind of makes you wonder if you saw those bumpers on your old television.
