Okay this is really interesting!
In the movie, during her talk with Kylo Ren, they have a flashback that shows her entering the dark part of the island with that cryptic and spooky vision. It's after the flashback that they have the moment of her saying she "feels so alone" and the two touching hands.
They're altering it a bit, having her actually going to the dark side of the island and presumably coming back to the hut afterward.
