It's not completely implausible that Monty and Miss Thoroughgood could still be around seventy years later; life expectancy for someone of their generation in the USA may only be ~50-60 in the real world, but that didn't prevent a handful of them from living for over a century.I don't think Monty and Miss Thoroughgood will have to worry about any vampire outbreaks in San Francisco. Cliffhangers is mid-century at the latest and Mythbusters is contemporary, so there should be about 70 years separating them, so any vampire shenanigans will be past their time.
Also, there could be occult shenanigans.
